About Us

Our name, Mooro, honours one of the regions occupied by the traditional owners of the land around Perth. It's an important acknowledgement that helps our sense of place and brings us closer to the land that sustains our activities.

Chris Morgan established Mooro Cycles in 2016 with the desire to make bicycles that fit, perform, are beautiful to the eye and durable. He has been passionate about two wheels all his life, which started at a very early age riding bicycles and motorbikes on the farm he grew up on, to racing motorcross around the state. His passion for cycling took hold in the '90s while Chris was living in the US studying chiropractic. He uses his years of riding and racing many different bikes and wheel sizes, his knowledge of the body and his interest in geometry to design the Mooro Cycles frames.

Stuart Dash is Mooro's master welder. He has a trade certificate in Engineering and Fabrication and has been TIG-welding titanium and steel in Australia and overseas for more than ten years. His experience ensures that our frames are manufactured to the highest standards.

We are pleased to collaborate with Noongar artists, Dushong (Rohin Kickett) and Yombish (Bradley Kickett), for custom paintwork. Rod Gilchrist takes care of our base and finish paintwork, and Matt Wikstrom provides his skills as a mechanic and photographer.
